Renata's signature pleating technique, using upcycled football materials, makes for a perfect Bermuda in black tones with a branded elastic boxer waistband
'Renata Brenha's Spring/Summer 2025 collection, 'Grito de Carnaval', is an honorous exploration of the anticipation of preparation. Carnival, for Brazil, is just as much a part of the country as the people themselves. Brenha effortlessly infuses the core of her collection with her signature investigation of football cliches, merging it with the spirit of Carnival itself. Heavily influenced by photographer Maureen Bisilliat's documentation of samba schools getting ready for 60's and 70's Carnival, these vibrant photos examine the feeling of suspense and excitement that permeate the space as you prepare for the big event. Women are half dressed and smoking cigarettes, the fluttery pink tulle and glittering green outfits half hanging off languid bodies, are paired with a relaxed and happy posture that makes for a striking image. This is the before, but it feels just as alive as if they were in the middle of Rio's crowded streets.'
