Sambal Goreng - or fried shallots, garlic, and chilies - is a chameleon ingredient that can be used as a flavorful base for cooking, a finishing on literally any dish, or a snack enjoyed straight out of the jar. It’s dry, lightweight, and delicious with everything - tacos, burgers, ramen, eggs, popcorn, stir-fry, pasta - the list goes on! This is our personal take on the new pantry essential.
